You heard me I finished one of my songs at last! ☺️
Yesterday I had a great session with my sound engineer working on ‘Fighting Grounds’. Adding a few effects, mixing levels and adding a clock part which I love.
I still have a way to go for this EP to be completed but it is so satisfying to have a song completed. 1 out of 5, 4 to go!
I’ve had quite a few recording sessions with my sound engineer and guitarist to get this song completed which you can see on my Instagram account. I want to send a big thanks to both of them because, even though I wrote the song, I wouldn’t have got this song recorded without them. It’s the same for the other songs in this EP. They’re my originals but I wouldn’t be creating this EP without their talents and hard work. (I will keep them anonymous here though for their privacy)
I’m also very happy that such a significant song is now complete. As you might remember from a previous post, it’s about my aunt when she was diagnosed with cancer. So having this song completed means a lot to me. And I hope it helps others dealing with similar situations whether helping them express emotions or feeling like they have someone to relate to and not feel so alone.
